Midnight Madness by Priscilla MMSC49

Thanks so much for stopping by. It has been a fun few days as I have been out of town at a scrapbooking retreat. I have a lot of catching up to do, so if you have a pending order with me from my "priscillastyles Store", I will be shipping those this week. Thank you for your orders. You are keeping me very busy :)  This week I made the Midnight Madness sketch using my kids puzzle pieces.  I was going to use the larger sizes, but they were complete puzzles and I would feel guilty to take from it. This puzzle had smaller pieces and there were already a few pieces missing. LOL  I just took the pieces and peeled off the top, put them together stamped on it and then shaded each piece a different color. I then added the Stamp and Create "Good Book" image on the top.  I kind of like the way it came out..what do you think? Have fun and lets see what you come up with :) Just GO FOR IT!!!

  3. Priscilla-this is so cute...when I read about how you got your puzzle pieces, I was wondering when I was doing this sketch if I had gotten rid of some of the boys puzzles!!! In the end, I just used your sketch to come up with my background. I wouldn't have thought to peel the pieces, so that is something I learned today. I love how they look. The image on the top is perfect. Thank you for always inspiring us and encouraging us to reach for our dreams!

  4. Priscilla, I wanted to use my son's puzzle pieces too but couldn't bring myself to as he still likes to make the puzzles he has, so I opted to trace around them and use them that way. Your coloring of yours is just beautiful, I love the colors you chose for this card and that sweet image is just precious! Kudos for another stunning card. Just beautiful!

  5. I had to lol about your using your kid's puzzle pieces. I should have sent you the ones that I told you weren't working well with my project. I would have been happy to give them to you. This turned out really cute though, and I love the sparkle and shine. Still don't know how you find the time to get it all done! Thanks for sharing with us and for all you do.

    Hugs,
    Carolyn

  9. Such a challenging take on the sketch, and you have mastered it of course! These blue hughes are some of my favorite color combinations. And that stitching....what I would give for a sewing machine--that really sets of your card Priscilla. Thanks so much for sharing this....I keep coming back and looking at it because I am making a card for each of my nieces using the puzzle theme. Love IT!!!!

  10. I really can't believe that you used real puzzle pieces! :O) That was a good idea that just eluded me! Although I don't know how well they deal with it if they saw me using their puzzles, But I like the idea, lol. Beautiful depths in the image too! xox ~Jeni

  13. I thought you used Copic's. I have seen alot of beautiful cards, even scrapbook pages where people used them. Copic are just a little too pricey for me. Do you have any suggestions on other markers? Thank you.

  14. Hi Amber, the only other ones I own are Stampin Up markers. Before my Copic's I just used watercolor paint on my cards and art work. Wish I could be more help.
