Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #56 (MMSC56)

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. What a great month of celebrations we had here at the Midnight Madness blog. I wanted to thank my DT , players and followers alike for making this so much fun and for being so sweet with your comments and for inspiring so many with your creations. I am looking forward to the next year of creations from all of you. We still have the Blogaversary Candy to give away. Wow..so many entries to. Thank you everyone for helping spread the word about our celebrations here. I have to go through my emails because some of you requested to enter the Candy giveaway even though you had no blog. Many said they emailed there friends etc and..I did say "Everyone" can enter, so if you want to just link this blog (http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com) to Mr. Linky that is fine with me. ( I should have said that..sorry) I have started entering those that have requested that and have many emails to go through. Also, those of you who have already entered and do not have blogs, please be sure to leave me your email address, because I will not be able to contact you if you win. I got hooked on stamping in 1999 when a friend of mine sent a birthday card invitation for her son. I so admired it that I made the mistake, or fortune, to ask her about it. I was then invited to a stamp party and never looked back as I'm sure most of your know the drill on that one!! The main reason I first got into stamping was to scrapbook events and activities for my 2-year old son who has autism to assist with his language and communication skills. He is now almost 12 - I can't believe it!! I was a legal secretary for years and needed a creative outlet. So, it served 2 purposes. It, of course, didn't help my financial situation at all, but that's another story!! It then shifted more to cards several years ago. I found that when I handmade a card for my friends, family, church members and my son's school staff I could brighten their day and make them feel "special", for whatever occasion it happened to be, or comfort when they needed it. My craft room has grown CONSIDERABLY as I'm sure all of yours have too. It's great therapy for me and I've met some of the most incredible people EVER! The first challenge I did for Midnight Madness opened up doors for me that I didn't know existed insofar as my creativity and evolvement. I tried my first Midnight Madness sketch after I saw a card Lovely Linda created and she posted the link to Midnight Madness. From the first card I created from Prisicilla's groundbreaking sketches, I felt "at home". I'm not sure why that happened as Priscilla creates the most phenomenal "vintage" cards, but my best cards seem to have come from her sketches. I also fell in love with the whole design team and their enormous talent. In fact, I am in "awe" of their talent. I am honored to be selected as a guest designer and hope what I bring will help others want to join in this fantastic journey.

I am a mother of 2 beautiful kids ages 20 and 9. I took up card making about 1 year ago and instantly fell in love with it! I joined the Midnight Madness Challenges a few months ago and the sketches, players, and design team have really made me open up to try different things. I am really looking forward to this experience to work side by side with these ladies.

Midnight Madness "RED CARPET" Week & Sketch Challenge #55 (MMSC55)

Greetings everyone and welcome to the last week of our month long Midnight Madness Blogaversary celebration. This will be the last week to get in on the Huge Potluck Blogaversary Candy Giveaway and our May monthly sponsors prize that is being awarded to 5 people! We have had a blast with you at the dance party and the barbecue and now we have one more surprise for our final festivity. For the last week of our gala event we are rolling out the red carpet and are about to embark on a yearly Blogaversary tradition…..... With a blushing face, I would like to share with you what the Midnight Madness DT team has been up to and has put together........
In honor of the person who started the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, the design team unanimously chose to name this very special award the "Priscilla Award". Priscilla has inspired, encouraged, motivated, and stimulated everyone of us in our crafting endeavors. She has been our friend, our mentor, our confident, our sister in crafting. She is tireless in her efforts to bring you the best of the best each week and to challenge each and everyone of us to achieve greater heights than we ever thought imaginable. She was humbled by the idea of us coming together to call it the "Priscilla Award", but we as the Design Team thought it was only fitting for the highest honor that someone could achieve on Midnight Madness to be named after our founding individual.
We would like to present to ONE outstanding card/craft person who is represented amongst our GOLD STAR winners of the past year, the coveted "Priscilla Award". Not only that, but it is going to be the "PEOPLES CHOICE". What does that mean....that means that you our friends and weekly players are going to choose the winner this time!!!! Below are the 20 finalist randomly chosen for this honor. You cannot imagine how extremely difficult it was to narrow it down to just these 20 ladies. We have included one of their cards as an example of their work and craftsmanship, but we encourage you to visit their blog before you cast your vote and make your decision to view their outstanding creations. So let the voting begin. Anyone can vote but you will only be able to cast one vote. We will be announcing the PEOPLES CHOICE next week along with our weekly and month end winners.

Thank you to the design team.. I am humbled and truly honored to have my name on the "Priscilla Award". I must say that this design team has been the most fun to play and create with and I am a better person having known each and everyone of them. It is with a heavy heart sharing that two of our wonderful MMDT “originals” will be stepping down to spend some much needed quality time with their families and persuing other avenues this summer. Michelle and Jeni, you will be missed, but I know you will only be a click away.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.. This is the last week of our month long Blogaversary celebrations. We have had such a great time with everyone and I am looking forward to the 2nd year of fun and creativity with everyone. Today I would like to share with you my MMSC55 card. I know there are a ton of fairy digi’s on the market , but I wanted to create one that I envisioned.

 I will be posting more images next week..I can’t wait to share them with you. I would love for you to stop by and check out my newest digis at my “priscillastyles” Store.
