As always, just ask me if you have any questions in regards to my card. I will do my best to answer below asap :) I found my image at my friend Gary's blog. I hope you like my card. Please leave me a comment with your thoughts, they are much appreciated :)
You did it again Priscilla! This card really took my breath away... It reminds me of this Time-magazine cover from the 1920's, did you use that image by any chance?

Oh Wow!!! I love the layering of her wings! What a beautiful card!! Amazing and fan~tab~u~lous!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! What a beautiful butterfly, love the layers. Colors are lovely. Stunning card.
ReplyDeleteThe lady goes so perfectly with the gorgeous beaded butterfly, thanks for the inspiring sketches, you are doing so great!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou leave me speechless P. You are unstoppable!!
ReplyDeleteHoly freakin' amazing Priscilla! Love the layers and those beaded wings are amazing! Is there actually beading on the background paper too? Also, what are the clear accents off to the right and behind your image? I love, love, love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Emily..THANK YOU for all you questions. I have added another picture so you could see those clear accents. I got them at a craft store a long time ago..i think they are used in floral arrangements. Small beads on the end of a clear cord thingy :) The back ground has no beading..just sewing details. I bought some pre sewn textured paper off ebay a while back..I just looked for the link for you but I could not find it. Maybe they are not selling right now. Well, I am so glad you like my card and you can always ask me questions :)
ReplyDeleteYour work is always so inspiring to the rest of us, Priscilla. Just wonderful as always.

ReplyDeleteabout the post you left me ! i had no idea you also loved skating. Touring with Scott Hamilton, and being an ice capade!!!!!!!!! wow thats quite an accomplishment. Im trying to compete next year in regionals, and go as far as i can. This year I was plagued with three major injuries(never in my life have i had a terrible injury and to have 3 really set me back) but lets just see Its my passion so regardless of obstacles ill continue to skate, and create =) I think us skaters have a nitch for creativity !!!! Thanks for always creating such beautiful cards they are trully amazing!!!
wow! this is a beautiful card....love the detail...i really love to see your work.
ReplyDeleteI am testing into Junior... next test session, and then senior. I have landed up through Triple Flip... but I only have landed up to triple toe consistantly =) so i deifnately have to work on my last two jumps before I compete =) I really hope to take it all the way, I know im already 21 but I refuse to give up, I started late at 12 and took 2 years off at age 16-18from heart problems....so i think i have picked it up pretty quickly but yea that's a little bit about my skating... so your daughter is 3 you said ? do you want to get her into skating?? shes adorable, both of your children are! how was being a part of the ice capades? it must have been amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis card, as are all of yours, is absolutely stunning. All I can say is WOW!!!
ReplyDeleteYour stitching on all of your cards is absolutely beautiful.
One of these days I'll open up my sewing machine and stop doing it by hand.
By the way, thank you so much for the encouragement on my card that I didn't like for this challenge. I appreciate it.

Hey priscilla! wow i read your reply, sounds like the time of a life time! ! ! I coach with Brian Kadar, and Jill Pitman. I have also lessoned with Don Laws. I actually went to the PSA conference this year *two weeks ago. TO keep updated with all the changes in the rules, and regs. Its so rediculous how they score, and judge skaters. I think they are doing much more damage to the sport than good. They are taking away artistry by making rules that require change of positions non stop to rack up points etc... I have a question for you though, before I forget. I have some blog candy I would like to give away but I have no idea how to put like Mr. linky on my page, is there a website i should use? Also, I guess when i get my picture up if you can just spread the word. I want to meet and see peoples blogs, and being that I only have 5 followers I figured this would be a good way to share an d just throw myself out there. Plus it feels good to give lol Ok but back to skating, I know what you mean by dealing with all the drama. I have seen so many great skaters quit because they couldnt take it anymore, and good coaches too! I train at the RDV sportsplex out in Fl, Its a beautiful facility! We have some great skaters too Patrick Chan from Canada trains alot with us for Don Laws is at our rink!!!
